What is ayurvedic Medicine?
Ayurvedic medicine is an ancient Indian healing system focused on balance between mind, body, and spirit. It emphasizes diet, herbs, and lifestyle. Rooted in the Vedas, Ayurveda was systematized by Charaka Samhita.
Mental Health & Clarity (Cognitive)
- Clove – Clove is believed to help decalcify the pineal gland. Clove has a high content of antioxidants, particularly eugenol, which supports detoxification and reduces inflammation. The pineal gland, often called the “third eye,” can become calcified over time from exposure to toxins like fluoride & heavy metals.
- Omega 3’s – Omega-3 fatty acids are essential for brain health, heart function, and reducing inflammation. While fish oil is a common source, plant-based alternatives include flaxseed oil, chia seeds, hemp seeds, walnut.
Anxiety (Adrenal)
- Passion flower – is a calming herb traditionally used to support the nervous system and may benefit those with epilepsy. Its natural sedative and anticonvulsant properties help reduce seizure activity by promoting GABA production
- Cayenne – rich in capsaicin, may support individuals with epilepsy by improving blood circulation and promoting better oxygen delivery to the brain. Its anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties may help reduce seizure triggers linked to inflammation and poor brain function.
- Cinnamon – may offer benefits for epilepsy due to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective properties. It helps reduce oxidative stress and inflammation in the brain, both of which are linked to seizure activity.
Nervous System
- Turmeric – Turmeric’s active compound, curcumin, has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that may help reduce the neurological inflammation linked to essential tremors. By protecting brain cells from oxidative stress and calming the nervous system, turmeric supports improved motor control and reduces tremor severity.
- Ginger – Ginger offers anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits that may help reduce nerve irritation associated with essential tremors. Its calming effects on the nervous system can improve muscle control and reduce tremor intensity.
Neuron (Electrical Current) Support
- Turmeric – Turmeric’s active compound, curcumin, offers powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits that may protect brain cells in Parkinson’s disease. It helps reduce neuroinflammation, a key factor in Parkinson’s progression, and supports dopamine-producing neurons.
- Holy Basil – Holy Basil (Tulsi) offers neuroprotective benefits valuable for Parkinson’s disease by reducing oxidative stress and inflammation in the brain. It helps balance dopamine levels, supporting motor function and reducing tremors. Its adaptogenic properties alleviate stress and anxiety, common in Parkinson’s patients, improving overall well-being.
- Liquorice Root – Licorice root contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds that may support brain health in Parkinson’s disease by reducing neuroinflammation and oxidative stress. It helps protect nerve cells and may improve dopamine regulation, which is crucial for motor control.
Ion (Electricity) Support
Raisons & Dates – Dates and raisins are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that support brain health in Parkinson’s disease. Their natural sugars provide sustained energy, helping combat fatigue common in Parkinson’s patients. High in potassium and magnesium, they aid nerve function and muscle control.
Cinnamon – Cinnamon contains powerful antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds that may protect brain cells and reduce neuroinflammation linked to Parkinson’s disease. Its active ingredient, cinnamaldehyde, helps improve dopamine levels, supporting motor control and reducing tremors.
